Chiropodist Stephen Chu

Stephen received his B.A. (Hons) in Kinesiology from York University in 2002 when he went to work as a kinesiologist for various physiotherapy and chiropractic active rehab clinics. He then attended the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences and received his diploma in chiropody in 2006. He then travelled to Australia and received his certificate to practice under the Australasian Podiatry Council that following year. Stephen presently owns and operates three other foot clinics in Scarborough, Bradford and North York. As a Wing Chun Kung Fu practitioner, he has a special interest in biomechanics and human movement which directly translates to foot problems and orthopaedic care. Stephen is also a member of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine and was more recently elected to the board of Directors of the Ontario Society of Chiropodists.

Nelly Bernales

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Honours in Health Science (B.H.Sc) from the University of Waterloo, with a minor in Microbiology. She then completed a Master’s of Science (M.Sc) in Cardiovascular Physiology at Queen’s University. She has more than 4 years of extensive research experience working at Sick Kids Hospital, the University Health Network, and at Health Canada.
She graduated as a Certified Chiropodist (D.Ch) from the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences. She worked at Ontario Wound Care specializing in hyberbaric medicine treating diabetic wounds and lower limb amputees. Her podiatric clinical practice includes biomechanical assessments, foot care, soft tissue surgeries, and diabetic ulcers.
Jennifer is a registered member of the Ontario Society of Chiropodists and the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine.

Nelly Bernales

Nelly has a Medical Office Administration certificate from Seneca College and a Certified Fitter certificate for compression stockings from Sigvaris. Smart, attentive and always friendly, Nelly fits patients with new custom orthotics, helps them find the right orthopedic shoes for their feet, and when needed, assists with front desk and reception duties.

Lisa Esposito B.Sc. (Hons), D.Ch.

Lisa Esposito

Lisa received her B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Anthropology from the University of Toronto. She is also a graduate of the Michener Institute Chiropody Program. Lisa has worked as an Associate Chiropodist for Stephen’s Scarborough clinic for the past few years before embarking in a business partnership with him. Lisa has spent extensive time in the hospital setting and has a particular interest in the diabetic foot and wound care. Lisa is also a member of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine and Ontario Society of Chiropodists.

Parisa Janbakhsh

Manager

Parisa does fittings for custom orthotics and orthopedic shoes, and ensures our office runs smoothly every day. With 10 years of experience working in the medical field, she has developed excellent communication and customer service skills and is always friendly and attentive with our patients.
